A Living Boundary | The Sanctuary Within | Walking the Plant Path Back Home | 2012–2026

Not a fence built to keep life out.
A boundary grown to hold life within.
For fourteen years, the hedgerow has grown alongside me—branch by branch, season by season, becoming shelter, passage, protection, and home.
What began with plants became a living boundary.
Here, The Wild Ones nest, raise their young, and call this land home.
A living boundary shaped through care—rooted enough to protect, shelter, and nourish generations.
Within its branches, birds learned to fly. Mothers taught their daughters where to forage, where to rest, and where to return. Chipmunks made their homes below. Squirrels traveled through the branches. Deer found the path. The dogs rested beside it.
I walked the plant path, and slowly, the plants led me home.
What I thought I was growing around me was also growing within me.
A boundary does not have to be a wall.
It can be alive.
It can flower.
It can shelter the vulnerable while allowing the wild to move freely through it.
It can teach us that protection and belonging were never meant to be opposites.
Shelter · Passage · Protection · Belonging
“The wild feminine as teacher—not metaphor, but living practice.“
