THE LAND REMEMBERS

In fourteen years, I have observed an urban piece of land become wild again.

Not because I controlled it.

Because I simply allowed it to be.

As Is.

I allowed the leaves to remain beneath the trees. I let the flowers go to seed. I discovered plants growing where I had not planted them.

I learned the pathways along the hedges, the movement within the branches, the small entrances to underground homes—the sounds and patterns of Nature.

And slowly, The Wild Ones returned.

Evolving through the seasons.

Now, generations of The Wild Ones call this land home.

What began as lawn and ornamentals became habitat.

What became habitat is now a forest garden.

And those who found sanctuary here in the forest garden became kin.

Under Mars Conjunct Uranus in Gemini, the story moves.

Mars is action. Uranus is liberation. Gemini carries the message between worlds.

Wing and branch.
Root and road.
Women and wildness.

The Natural World has always been speaking.

The question is whether we are willing to listen.
