Isabella’s Daughter

Neptune Retrograde 4° Aries

Returning to the original dream.

Eleven of fourteen years, together in the sanctuary.

She is the reason the forest garden came to be — and studying plant medicine.

I grew the plants for her and their full life cycle.

Nature planted; I encouraged; we collaborated—branches thickened, hedgerows grew wild, and edges softened. The unintended consequence: we created a space for life to flourish.

For eleven years, Isabella and I have shared this land. I watched her raise her young, and teach her daughters how to survive the urban wilds here — travel south each autumn, and return each and every Spring.

Though non-native, Isabella became a keystone species within this sanctuary—her presence helped shape the living ecosystem that grew around us.

We raised each other and evolved, together.

I grew this forest garden for her.

And then came the rest of The Wild Ones.

The deer created the path.
The chipmunks reclaimed their home.
The squirrels overwintered in evergreen.
The birds nesting in hedgerows.

Generations were born, raised, and taught within the rewilded forest garden.

And as Isabella’s lineage thrived, I realized I had created a sanctuary not only for the wild ones, but also for the women of my lineage.

In a city, and home, where safety had been absent for generations, this sanctuary has become the turning point.

Under Neptune retrograde in Aries, I see clearly now: this is where the cycle ends, and where the wild feminine, in women and wildlife alike, is safe to thrive once again.

Perhaps the dream knew what it was becoming before I did.

I have learned from the land, the flora and fauna—and now understand what nourishes Nature and what harms Her within The Urban Wilds. I will continue to do everything in my power to preserve, protect, heal, and regenerate Mother Earth.

The wild feminine as teacher—not metaphor, but living practice.
